Cynara humilis

Commonly known as artichoke, borriquero thistle or cardocuco, it is a species of large thistle of the Asteraceae family. In Spain, it is used as an artichoke, in a tender and depinized state. Even the stalks at the base of the leaf are edible. The seeds are very appetizing for birds.
