Shrub or shrub with evergreen lauriform leaves and beautiful bell-shaped flowers in clusters. It grows in all types of soils, although it needs some humidity and avoids full sun. It produces a characteristic red fruit, globular, covered with warts, edible. Ornamental. Slow germination. Sow seeds in autumn, without pretreatment, or in spring if the seed has been previously stratified.

Without pre-germinative treatment, it is recommended to keep the seeds in warm water for 5-6 days before planting.
