It is an erect glabrescent perennial herb 50 cm to 1 m tall; leaves lanceolate denticulate 7-30 x 1.2 5 cm shortly petiolate, the upper ones are sessile and are progressively smaller. Flowers pale yellow 15-25 x 5-8 mm; blooms June to August; flowers tubular, calyx 4-5 mm; capsule ovoid 7-8 mm.
