Annual herbaceous plant, up to 2 m, covered with reddish hairs. Leaves trifoliolate, with leaflets elliptic to ovate, entire, large and petiolate, with the petiole of the terminal leaflet much longer than that of the lateral ones; the main lateral nerves of the leaflets do not reach the edge of the blade. Flowers with white or purplish corolla. Inflorescence in clusters of up to 8 flowers. Legumes elongated and curved, hanging, with few seeds.
