It is a hairy plant that reaches 1 meter in height with perennial root. Stem erect and rigid. Grayish leaves, paired and divided into unequal segments. The flowers are very small and lilac colored and are grouped in chapters of 4 cm in diameter. The fruit is large with four corners, crowned by fragile hairs.
