Annual herb up to 50 cm. Entire leaves with ciliate margin and scabrid on the upper side, linear, up to 7 cm, the caulinar ones alternate, half sessile and the upper ones slightly aplexicaules. Paniculiform inflorescence with several lax cymes, up to 25 cm. in fructification. Flowers ebracteate. Pedicels ercto-patent. Calyx divided almost to the base with ciliate lobes. Corolla rotaceous, white or blue. Throat with scales. 5 stamens. Anthers yellowish.
