Semi-parasitic, herbaceous, annual, sticky gland plant, light green, upright, usually unbranched, 10-50 cm tall, with quadrangular stem. Leaves opposite, oblong, up to 12 mm long and 5 mm wide, more or less sharp, deeply toothed especially the upper ones. Terminal inflorescences, lax, in spikes, with leaves.
