Passionflower is a climbing plant of spectacular flowering belonging to the Passifloraceae family. It can reach 10-15 meters in height if it grows on a support or another tree. It has pentapalamous leaves and are arranged alternately on the stem, from the axils arise tendrils that serve to attach to the branches of trees or structures such as pergolas, fences, etc.. The flower that appears in the axils during the summer, has a great ornamental interest, can be up to 8 cm in diameter, with a crown that overlaps and is very striking bluish and white colors. They generate a fruit that is an oval-shaped berry of orange color and many seeds.
