Technical Information

Planting information:

French method: soak the seed in water at 16-20º C until radicles have appeared on some seeds or for ten days. During soaking the seeds should be stirred frequently. Once the soaking period is over, the entire batch of seed is placed in a cold room at 2°C and stirred occasionally. The seed should remain in the chamber at a constant temperature of 2°C for 3-5 months, then be brought to room temperature to air dry and remove excess moisture absorbed during treatment (G=80%).
Australian method: consists of stratifying the seeds for 7-9 weeks at 2°C after soaking them for 8 days in water at room temperature. Drying the seeds after treatment does not nullify the effect of the treatment, obtaining germination of 85% in 25 days.

Store at low temperature for about 6 weeks, which accelerates germination by 1-4 weeks compared to control batches.
Soak the seed for 1-2 days at room temperature.
Pre-cooled for 35 days at 3-5º C.
