Medium sized tree, with a maximum height that generally does not exceed 6 m. It has erect branches and a straight trunk, with a shiny grayish-brown color and a smooth or somewhat cracked texture. The leaves are simple, deciduous and alternate, and sometimes are so close together that they form tufts on short shoots. The flowers, with 5 white petals, emerge at about the same time as the new leaves.The plums ripen quickly in late summer.
