Deciduous deciduous tree of the rosaceae family that can reach 10 m in height. It is pyramidal and its crown is dense, the bark is grayish, the bearing is variable, often thorny and often with vine shoots. Its fruit is the pear. It prefers deep, permeable, well drained and loose soils. It prefers sandy loam-loam soils.
