Highly branched shrub with evergreen leaves up to 2 m high. It is very aromatic and is an important honey plant with many medicinal and cosmetic applications. Native to the Mediterranean region, it adapts to many types of soils except clay soils, preferring sandy and rocky soils. Plant 50 cm from plant to plant.
