It lives in areas with very little soil, often found on roofs, dry walls and between cracks in rocks.flowers are yellow, are formed at the top of a fertile stem, which is covered by less leaf density than the rest of the plant. The inflorescence opens into several ray-like branches. It differs from the other species of the genus by its larger size.blooms in late spring and early summer.
