Annual plant of 20-80 cm. Stems are at least spindly at the base. Leaves generally hispid, up to 30 cm; lower leaves lyrate, with very large terminal lobe, petiolate; upper leaves sessile or almost sessile, toothed or slightly lobed. Flowers with yellow petals and erect-patent sepals, grouped in clusters with many flowers (more than 20). Fruit in broad silicica (greater than 2 mm), with 3-7 nerves in the valves (well observed at maturity); beak more than 1 cm, conical, little or not compressed, shorter than the valves.
