The flowers appear in axillary clusters containing 15 to 25 flowers. It is a perennial plant, branched, 10 to 40 cm long, with ascending stem and pubescent along its length. The leaves are opposite (although the upper leaves are usually scattered), regularly distributed on the branch and with a short petiole. The leaves are elliptic or oval, measuring 15 to 50 mm and with a serrated margin. They are also characterized by a slight pilosity and by their fleshy consistency.
