Shrub of palmate-lobed and deciduous leaves, with globose inflorescence, immaculate white or pinkish color. It requires a shady environment and abundant water. Very appreciated as an ornamental. The distilled water of its flowers is used as a diuretic.

Stratification in wet sand or peat for 60-90 days at 20-30ºC, followed by another for a similar period at 2-4ºC.
