Hairy vetch or hairy vetch (Vicia villosa) is a plantaleguminosae native to Europe and western Asia. It is used as a fodder crop. It adapts well to different types of soils, including saline soils, although it does not tolerate waterlogged soils. It is suitable for revegetation of Mediterranean slopes and rocky areas and for grazing and mowing.
