Delivery of the "Duende del Bejarano" awards.

The family business "Semillas Cantueso", the Association for the Social Defense of Adolescents and Minors (Adsam) and the professor of geography at the University of Cordoba, Bartolomé Valle Buenestado have received this morning the "Duende del Bejarano" awards granted by the Acción Ecologista Guadalquivir to individuals and institutions that have stood out for their work in support of the environment in general and the environment of the Bejarano in particular.

In the case of Semillas Cantueso, its commitment to biodiversity and the regeneration of the site was valued, as well as its sustainable actions and the safeguarding of the plant heritage. Adsam was highlighted for its voluntary support for the protection of the site and its work in favor of social integration. As for Bartolomé Valle, the award highlights his defense of the human landscape and the protection of the ecosystems to which it gives rise. The ceremony was presided over by the vice-rector for Internationalization and Cooperation, Carmen Galán, and the president of the Acción Ecologista Guadalquivir, Bartolomé Olivares Dovao, who demanded the prompt construction of a collector to regenerate the waters of the area known as the Popea baths, which are highly polluted by wastewater discharges.
