Water phytodepuration with native seeds of macrophyte plants.
R+D+I project aimed at providing a natural, sustainable and integrated solution to the necessary and increasingly demanding EU legislation on water purification, all based on the use of seeds and macrophyte plants (phytodepuration) of wild character. Solutions recognized for their technical efficiency, then:
- Macrophytic plants absorb heavy metals and pollutant organic matter through a natural biological purification process.
- They reduce economic costs, compared to other more expensive systems, which require large investments in engineering works and subsequent maintenance.
