The Laurel (Laurus nobilis), symbol of victory and immortality, is associated with Apollo as it crowned the heads of heroes. It appeared in the military triumphs of Caesar and later on the diplomas of studies. Laurel has volatile active components, such as pinene, linalool, geraniol, sabinene, limonene and others.
