Tree 7-12 m tall, with a compact crown and cracked and scaly bark. The leaves are small, leathery, trilobate, with the entire margin and shiny on the obverse; in autumn, before falling, they take an ocher and golden hue. The fruit is a double samara in which the wings are arranged more or less parallel to each other.

Stratification at low temperature (2-5 ºC) for 3 months and immersion in water for 24 h before sowing.
