Campanula rotundifolia is a slender, glabrous, perennial, 10-50 cm, with rounded toothed and petiolate cordate basal leaves; cauline leaves lanceolate to linear, occasionally toothed, mostly entire and seated. Flowers blue or violet, 1.2-2 cm or more, in a lax branched inflorescence. Calycinous teeth linear to narrowly triangular. Very variable species. Blooms from late spring to autumn.
