It is native to central Europe and can measure up to 60 cm wide by 40 cm high. Its predominant color is purple and its base leaves are green, when they are grown in pots their size is usually smaller because they adapt to the type of container where they remain in time. Its flowering time is usually in spring, however there are occasions when it does it in autumn. Its inflorescences are characterized for being small and erect of bluish color reaching purple with small flowers.
