Perennial plant with smooth stems, about 2 centimeters in diameter at its base, slightly striped, round and leafless. These stems can exceed 2 meters in height, with a straight bearing. It has a strong rhizome, which is constantly producing stems. At the end of its stems produces an inflorescence in umbel. At the base of the same, grows a hard spathe, semi-hugging straw-colored.
