Annual or biennial herb, upright, slender-rooted, with 2-25 cm stems, slender, very numerous. Leaves (3)5-25(30) x c. 0.5 mm, aristate or mucronate; stipules lanceolate, acuminate, silvery. Inflorescence glandulose-pubescent; pedicels capitate, the fruiting ones usually much longer than the capsules. Fruit in 2.5-4 mm capsule, ovoid, shortly stipitate, equaling or somewhat exceeding the sepals.
