Tree native to China, cultivated in temperate climate zones. It produces red and ovoid fruits, the size of an olive, edible, rich in mucilage, with laxative properties and a very pleasant sweet taste. Grafted on the tree, it becomes more vigorous and durable.

Immersion in hot water at 40-60ºC for 48 hours.
