Acer opalus granatensis

It is a small deciduous tree with smooth and grayish bark. The leaves are opposite and palmate, the petiole is long and reddish, the flowers are yellowish, arranged in hanging corymbs, the fruits, which ripen in autumn, are formed by two united nuclei (disamara). It blooms in March and April (northern hemisphere), coinciding with leaf-out.
