The genus Erica presents a set of germination inhibitors that reduce its success in seed propagation. The recommended pre-germinative treatment for this species is to place the seed in a humid environment, in the dark and at a temperature of 15ºC (12 hours) and 20ºC (12 hours), obtaining a germination close to 60%.
