Shrubby shrub from 1 to 1.5 meters. It flowers in late winter and early spring coloring the mountain slopes. It requires poor and shallow soils.

Heat treatment at 100ºC for 4 min (Northern Peninsular seeds) and treatment at 110ºC for 10 min (Southern Peninsular seeds) is recommended.
