Grass of rainfed fields and roadsides. It grows above half a meter in height. It has rough touch leaves, very divided with irregular lobes where the apical one can be the largest. The flowers are whitish with well marked purplish veins. The fruit is very characteristic because it develops strangulations between each of the seeds giving it a very particular shape.
