Small woody shrub, up to 70 cm, with hairy stems, whitish, with more numerous leaves in the lower half, linear to lanceolate, usually entire or with a tooth on each side, mucronate, sometimes imbricate, with yellow glands and more hairy underside. Inflorescences of typeverticillasts, variable in number, up to 12 per flowering stem, grouping 4 to 8 flowers, with ovate bracts, somewhat hairy and hairy calyx, also with yellow glands. Corolla bilabiate, whitish to bicolored, usually with pale yellow lower lip. Nucule-like fruit, somewhat ridged, two or four in number at the bottom of the calyx, dry and persistent during fruiting.
