Branched woody shrub. It adapts well to different substrates, although it prefers limestone soils, loams and gypsum soils (more rarely in slate or sandy soils), it also adapts well to sloping and draining soils. It is used as a ground cover in gardens near the coast, dry gardens, rock gardens and slopes.
