Very branched shrub that can reach three meters in height, although it is usually about a meter and a half. The leaves are ovate (wider in the basal part), very shiny and a little fleshy, fall when summer arrives. The flowers come out in the axils of the leaves, have five yellow petals, when fruiting the calyx is pendulous and grows in the shape of a bell. It flowers during winter and spring.
