Shrub up to 2 meters high, branched and with abundant yellow flowering. Fresh and deep soils. Whose distribution is southwestern Mediterranean. It is found in forests and thickets, on sandy coastal soils, siliceous in pine forests, but also in rich and deep soils of cork oak forests.

Technical Information

Planting information:

Blanch for 5 to 10 minutes or let stand in hot water for 24 hours until cool.
Scarification, immersion in hot water, concentrated sulfuric acid or steam. Nurserymen prefer hot water immersion, either for 5-10 seconds in boiling water, or put the seeds in boiling water and let them cool with the seeds for up to 24 hours. Germinations of up to 70% are achieved in 15 days.
- Scarified in sulfuric acid for 60 minutes, obtaining high germination percentages at 16ºC (96%).
